then installed linux in vmware as the guest OS.
run the same benchmark input file, both explicit and standard
the linux inside vmware is always faster than in windows.
for example time to complete, (excluding preprocess time, just the solver time
)
3:17 min under xp, 2:36 in linux
2:01 min under xp 1:04 in linux
this is particular strange because the linux is running inside a virtual
machine on top of xp, so every instruction |
