the job market of vibration and structural analysis is not good even comparing
with those other already-not-good ME fields. a main reason is that most
job opportunities come from militery or goverment projects.
the EE companies sometimes recruit vibration people for the problem in
hard disk, printer, cd player, blah blah. but just like those needs for
mechanical peple to do the stress and thermal analysis of chips, it is never
a major market -- too few openings while there are too many ME gradua
