machining organization provides quality parts to key OEMs in the defense,
aerospace, oil and gas, and mining industries.
Purpose of the role: Responsible for assuring potential and current quality
issues are identified and eliminated/corrected in an efficient, effective
manner. You will support an AS9100 compliant Quality Management System and
serve as a key resource for problem identification, resolution, loss
reporting, and continuous improvement.
Duties:
Preventing shipment of non-conforming product by leading the PPAP process
including preparing cusotmer PPAPs and reviewing supplier PPAPs
Improve, develop and implement methods for process control, process
improvement, testing, and inspection
Review new jobs for gaging needs
Assures timeliness of customer, supplier, and internal corrective actions
Assures disposition of nonconforming material
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
5 years of related industry experience (including military and/or aerospace)
Solid machining experience in a mfg. service or large component environment .
Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities
Strongly competent in quality tools like SPC, PPAP, APQP, etc.
Capable of developing and applying innovative/creative quality solutions |
