Job Description: Plans, directs, and coordinates projects in
manufacturing plant by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties
may be assigned.
• Analysis, modification or design of components for assigned
projects.
• Performs assigned research and development projects.
• Provides technical assistance as required to sales, operations or
customers.
• Guides and coordinates efforts of drafters.
• 75% to 85% of time is allocated to modifications of existing
designs.
• Works under supervision from direct supervisor.
• Position provides basic familiarity with company procedures and
protocol and may be considered a training level.

Education and/or Experience:
• B.S. or M.S. Mechanical Engineering
• 0 to 2 years related experience
• Interpersonal verbal and written communication skills
• PC skills and working knowledge of engineering software packages
such as AUTOCAD, MathCAD or PROEngineer
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business
periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental
regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and
procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond
to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general
public.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as
probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid
geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions,
percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a
variety of concrete variable in situations where only limited
standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions
furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual sh9ould
have knowledge of Database software; Design software; Internet software;
Manufacturing software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
