Best Bubble Party
The bubblist will demonstrate the magic, art and science of bubbles from
rainbows to square bubbles, triangular bubbles, even bubbles that bounce and
float inside other bubbles! One lucky child will have the unique
opportunity to step inside a Giant Bubble! Adventurous adults can also
experience the world from inside a bubble! Lots of audience interaction.

Celebrating Comics!
Join us for FREE Comic Book Day, an annual event held the first Saturday in
May throughout the United States. Pick up a free comic book, while supplies
last, by stopping in any Pasadena Public Library on Saturday, May 7. Comics
suitable for all age groups (children, teens and adults) will be available
at each site. Special programs will also be held focusing on comics.
Meet the Experts!
Comic creators will discuss their work. Their books will be available for
sale and signing.

Pilot Error (movie screening)
Pilot Error, the up-to-the-minute feature fi lm inspired by the true story
of the disappearance of Air France 447 on a flight from Rio to Paris,
screens at the Pasadena Central Library. After the screening, Captain Shem
Malmquist, a veteran accident investigator and international MD-11 will
speak on the critical need for more hands-on stick and rudder training for
airline pilots. Malmquist will be joined in discussion by the film’s stars,
composer and editor.
