两周前来人抬高coil case,secondary drain 直接连pvc,和drip pan出口pvc用tee连起
来。这样seondary 可以直接外排，如果secondary 堵了，drip pan还可以蓄水。
今天查了以下，drip pan里又有水了。这次水是从case底部接近drain outlet那一面漏
的。强烈怀疑primary condensate pan没装好或是搞漏了。请问imore专家意见。
我的是水平按装， hang to the truss members。slab type, comfortmaker, 4 ton
coil, SN: x063441629, model ehd4x48aa1.

如果要换condensate pan,可不可以自己动手？看图好像coil 就是放在case里，只要
1. open front panel, loose one screw on front support rail
2. gentle lift coil
3. slide out old pan and slide in new pan
另外，我把condenser fan motor换了，15 min,很顺利.再次感谢指导。 |

会不会bl4ower 出风口太低，或是风向不对（右高左低，直接吹condensate pan),把水
吹出来了？
还有，duct borad作的transition是不是可以接受，还是以后可以自己sheet metal做

还有就是如果coil 表面有不规则的结冰，也会有这种现象，如果出风越来越弱的话，
就要引起注意，下次师傅当再来的时候，提醒他们一下，测一下subcooling. 你的机子
要求的subcooling 值应该是12F，10F-14F之间都属正常。 |

Transition was horrible. There is a 2 inch gap at the bottom. I can put my
hand in. I saw a lot of fiber glass insulation inside the transition and on
the coil. Also, the transition was just a metal square frame (maybe another
one on the top) attached to the bottom of coil case and furnace case, then
wrapped with duct board. Is that acceptable?
My furnace has a 4 ton blower (2 stage, variable speed fan); my condenser is
3 ton. Should they set the fan at 3 ton in Ac mode?

发帖数: 9429 | 15 我告诉你吧我从图上看不出有明显的问题，就是装得粗糙点。这个问题只能现场才看得
来，而且很容易看出来问题。如果还无法解决的话，建议你另找师傅去检测（找
carrier 代理商).

以后如果自己想查subcooling, subheating, 需要epa 608 certification吗？那个
certification 好像很容易。 |

发帖数: 9429 | 17 section 608 和609(汽车空调) 只是受限于老的Freon， 如R22,R502,R500, R12 等等
。 目前的R-410A refrigerant 不受限于608.不过呢如果你是做生意的，那么你一定要
有 section 608 certificate，即使你只service R410空调。对于homeowner 来说目前
还是在模糊状况，因为你自己随意可在网上买到R410A 冷媒， 对于自己检测自家的
R410A空调，EPA并没有很明确的注明允许或者不允许，关键还得看州或地方政府。
section 608 是很容易考的, 网上有太多这方面信息。 |

They came yesterday but this time the case was not leaking. I had to dry the
drip pan everyday previously. The only thing I did Sunday was to use duct
tape to seal the large gap between the transition and furnace, so it seemed
to be due to lack of airflow.
The technician check the primary condensate pan and it was fine no cracks.
They re-sealed the gap with sheet metal+duct insulation. However, the
transition still seems flimsy and I will buy a metal brake and custom make a
transition using 26 gauge sheet metal this Fall.
I checked the drip pan and case this morning and both were dry. So it
confirmed that the leaking was due to insufficient air flow (causing icing
on coil?).
Again, thank imore and you're right about icing. Subcooling was not checked
and I am planning to buy a gauge. What about this one:

Do I need a low loss fitting?
During measurement, I will wear all the protective equipment (gloves, long
sleeves, goggles, face field). If a Shrader valve breaks/malfunctions and
