I have similar settings - gas heating with WM CG water boiler and 4 zones.
3 years ago, we had a big snow storm in Oct. power was knocked out for a
week. I had a 400W inverter, so I tried to start the boiler using my car (
civic at that time). Because the boiler was directly wired to the circuit
breaker panel, so I opened a junction box in the middle, and connected the
wires to a regular 2-pin connector, and plugged it into the inverter.
when I turned on the boiler, for the first 5 seconds, I heard the ignition
sound, but when the water pump kicked in, the inverter powered off. later on
, I found out that my civic's cigarette lighter fuse got burned out. it
turned out the car can only supply 75W max from the socket, even though my
inverter supports up to 400W.
I am sure the boiler does not need over 1000W to start. so if you have a
3000W+ power generator, you are fine.
if you want to find out, get a kill-a-watt, and plugin your boiler cable.
you can find out the working current/power draw. multiply that number by 2x
for the start-up spike. if you want to give it a try, let us know what you
find out.

电工就得千八百才能用上，还得注意一氧化碳中毒，还有大噪音。

去了。是不是烧真正的木材才暖和啊？

周都会有一个固定的时间让发电机工作10分钟左右防止生锈，你可以在这个时间到他家

SFH至少要6KW的发电机，冰箱，暖气，照明，特别是启动时的大电流。家里要是用井水
，电炉的还要多。

laugh too soon. google "v2h" or "vehicle to home". many plugin cars can
already do that. it is the way to go in the future.
the "range extender", i.e the built-in power generator, in a plugin hybrid
is 10x more efficient than a portable power generator, much quieter, and
cleaner

not true, most sfh don't need 6kw in emergency situations, especially
families with gas heating/cooking. the total load for life-essential
appliances can be well covered by a 4kw power generator.

it also works much better.
the power generator (range extender) in my 2014 volt can run 36-40 miles for
every gallon of gas. that is equivalent to the distance driven by 10 kWh
electricity from the battery.
With a 9.3 gallon gas tank, it can generate 93 kWh electricity, combined
with a drain-able 11kWh battery pack, that's a total of 104 kWh. That means
one tank can power 1500W appliances for 3 days at full load.
in comparison, many portable 3000W power generators can last 12 hours with
4 gallon of gas running at 50% load (~=1500W), that means barely over 1 day
for 9.3 gallon of gas, not mention it is much louder.

you don't want to connect to the 12V battery in the trunk, you can only
power 200Wx2=400W appliances. it is still good enough for minimum number of
essentials appliances (lights, routers, laptops, phone chargers).
true for regular ICE cars, but for newer EVs, an inverter (DC->AC) is what
is needed for the battery to drive the electric engine; which is exactly the
same to power your house. There is nearly no risk of damaging the car. in
various discussions, it seems there is no or low risk of voiding the
warranty.
the volt even gives you access to the high-voltage battery.

实在想干，自己买个slow blow的inline保险丝，然后接到电池上。
