上一万。 其中 Sears 最贵，要一万多。 而周围的中国人家里换窗户，和我们家差不
多大的房子，差不多数目窗户，一问总共只花了两千多。这个差距也太大了吧 ？
有没有换过窗户的朋友，给说说，什么价位比较合理 ？ |

Gas 5-6年后都要漏光，但是MI是质量最差的builder quality。
所以说2000+是可能的。
即使是中档质量的,也就是Homedepot最高档的，Simonton牌子的非builder quality的
包括Low E和Argaon Gas也就250一个，总价也在3000以内。 Contractor可能还可以拿
到些折扣。
安装费一般在50-80一个吧。一个小时一个，一天起码装8个，就是400-640，这个收入
很高了。
还有没有牌子的，福建人制造的窗户，单价就更便宜了。当然华人制造的Crystal
windows也不是最便宜的，还没MI便宜。

当时我要换2个窗户，让HD的人来开价，结果开了1400，后来我自己去local building
supply买了2个Simonton的自己换，一共500不到。

后就选world windows 的，全部包括，每个$355，9个窗户不论大小，Deck 上的拉门$
1350包安装。现在所有的门和窗户要求lifetime warranty ，另外world windows可以
自动转给下一个owner。不能找老中装窗户和门，不仅自己不知道warranty ，也没有啥
收据，出问题找谁？

换比较好。

local windows supply store and their contractor, even they told me they have
warranty for 20 years or lifetime, i doubt the store or the business of
contractor will survive that many years. Their warranty doesn't add too much
score. So I finally pick up Lowes, as i am sure it can survive longer than
local store, so does their warranty. |

contractor, it is from lowes, so even the contractor who did install died,
lowes will find other contractor to cover warranty. |

off 以后每个窗户平均在1000-1200左右。 一个bay window就 要4000-6000（取决于
size）。材料是fibrex（一大半wood 加上其它的复合材料）。说要是100%wood的还有
贵点。

part, You will be amazed at all the things that void the lifetime warranty.
If you read a replacement window warranty, it is basically telling when its'
parts and glass are eventually going to fail. Even the "Name Brand "
windows have exclusions that void their warranty.
Big Box Store windows are what they (Installers) call "Disposables."
There not going to last that long.

do not worth the money. Go read the link Dodgers provided above and read
gardenweb windows forum, and after a few hours of reading you will have a
good understanding which brands are better than others.

. They are much better than the wood windows on the second floor, which
generate a lot of condensation and mold in winter.
