people have different interest, I like fine furniture, but don't care about
cell phones. I think 80% of people has a smart phone and pay $70 every month
for it. I have cheapy nokia, and pay $50 every year as pre paid.

shopping. they just buy whatever is expensive.
I started furniture shopping from macy's etc. and was afraid that I didn't
spend my money wise for large purchase like furniture (see, typical WSN's
thought), so I started doing research, after lots of readings, I found spent
$5000 on a HM sofa might be even better for a $1000 Costco type sofa if I
am not that type of person who like change things all the time. I like the
feeling to use up a real quality stuff, observe it getting old but still
solid. with proper maintenance a HM sofa will serve you 30+ years with
premium quality and the unique beauty of an aniline leather will not fade
either. you need buy at least 5 of those costco sofa for the same service
length, and sit on the painted leather that can never compare to an aniline
hide.
The same truth applies to wood case as well. A well made piece will last for
generations, and the beauty can be appreciated every day.
