The option period is in Texas is not an automatic right. It is a negotiable
item. If you are dealing with a relocation company who refuses to allow an
option period, that is because they refuse to negotiate one. There is no
rule that precludes an option period for them as seller, they obviously
simply refuse to entertain offers that are asking for one. They obviously
feel that whatever property they have to offer will have enough interest
that they don't have to work with a buyer who wants the unrestricted right
to terminate for a certain number of days. You decision has to be do you
want that house badly enough that you would give up that right.
