it depends.
if your just need to remove the old grass/weeds and re-seed (now it's a good
time, hurry up), a minimum 500 bucks will be asked for any area ranging
from several hundreds sq ft to 1k sq feet. For larger area around 2k'ish sq
feet, I will say 1k USD depending on your terrian and access availability.
Actually the larger area should charge less per unit price but this price
applies to New York metropolitan area.
be careful of the current dirt acid/alkaline condition anyway. There might
be a need to re-condition it or even replace with fresh top soil, otherwise
you won't harest the expected lawn in the next spring. |

有10000草坪sf的岂不是要两三千？你说的是种草，不是sod吧？

我自己种两千sqft左右，就花了两三百， 两个人忙了一天。 找人做一千估计挺正常。

500 is not too much thinking about the cost of tilling and resurfacing,
seeding, fert, and hay application... should say for small project like this
big, it doesn't worth the money as they send ppl here with tools and setup
the work, which will take too much in the cost. The quote that I got
including a compartively bigger project plus a reseeding on the front yard
with several hundreds sq feet. If I accept the whole thing, the front yard
work will be free. But if it stands out alone, they charge 500 bucks.
Also to re-seeding a protion of my backyard which is about 2500 sq ft, they
charge 1k as a part in the bigger picture.
0.4 acre is more ideal in terms of cost/area ratio to bring the unit price
down, but I actually never dealt with project in that range.
Sod is too much and I did research before. It is absolutely out of the
question. :)

发帖数: 2709 | 12 是啊，真要只有1000sf的那么大草坪，我就可以完全自己弄了。扒草、撒种、铺土、浇
水，不用powered equipment问题也不大。
