not your regular income. if you have a net loss from your rental, you may be
able to use it to against your regular income if your income level is below
certain level. check tax code or ask a CPA.

income (i.e. W2) only if your AGI (Adjusted Gross Income) is below threshold
(i.e. $100K). It will be phased out completely under high threshold (i.e. $
150K).
