the thing is the old builder didn't mark which switch on the panel is for
outdoor outlets. I've reset all of them but didn't fix the problem. any
ideas?

发帖数: 469 | 8 GFCI circuit can be daisy-chained, which means one GFCI outlet will protect/
control all DOWNSTREAM outlets. So even though your outdoor outlet does not
LOOK like GCFI outlet, it's still protected by a GFCI some where upstream in
the house, most likely in bathrooms or kitchen or sometimes garage.
Check ALL GFCI outlets THROUGHOUT your entire home for any that tripped.
Sometimes GFCI can also exist inside the main circuit breaker panel. |

I once struggled for two days trying to use a power
outlet on my porch, then I noticed an GFCI outlet on
the other side of the porch was shut off. After
resetting, all my outdoor power outlets became
working again.
Check if you have any other outlets around your
house. They are normally covered by a spring-loaded
lid.
