会不会太冷，stain一上去就干了？
刚买了房子，怕放到明年开春，deck都得让雪水泡坏了。 |

打算这周末stain。没看明白为什么“最后也是少用一冬”？不行明年再漆，但至少这
冬对木头有个保护吧。
请大家指教了。

发帖数: 15836 | 13 如果温度过低，stain不能很好的cure，也就是形成的保护膜质量低下，不能起到应该
达到的防水防护功能。对木头不好到不至于，但是干的活有一半应该是白干。如果你不
在乎，那就stain吧，既然你已经power clean了你的阳台，让它光突突的过冬是有点过
分了。

我几年夏天快100度那几天stain的， 当时觉得好像也干掉很快。 |

一般的说法是秋天stain最好，这时候温度适合，一般的stain有1-2天的时间好好的
cure。如果干得太快了应该会影响stain的防水防护的质量。

Say, statistically speaking, your stain might last 8 years if you get it
done last month. But you do it now, you'll end up re-staining in 4 years. So
, you lose 4 years, in the worst case.
If you already sanded, I'll suggest you do it anyway. But if you only power
washed it, leave it for next late spring.

发帖数: 291 | 18 ok i see. i guess i would just stain it as all of the hard work has already been done. we plan to do it again within next couple years anyway. this deck has not been washed for a decade by the previous owner.

发帖数: 9932 | 19 this is idiotic advice. You have to stain your deck at least every two years
or
your deck will look like hell.
Let a power-washed deck go through winter will do much more damage than a
bad stain.
When the wood starts to rot and the mold starts to grow, it is very hard to
reverse the damage.
