house is not humid, with a good fan blowing, it should be dry in 30 min to
1 hour.
Some not so powerful machine leave too much water in the carpet, that could
take long time to dry.

, but very few places rent them.
Rug doctor is avail in my stores. The trick is use very hot water (boiling
is the best) and follow the instruction carefully, you should have good
result.
Also it is best to clean carpet often, twice a year for most family, some
tough stain will never come out no matter what kind of machine or trement
you use.
Blow fan on it after, turn ac to very low temp in summer or heat to very hot
