If you are in northern part (very short cooling season and does not get very
hot outside) more than 10F temperature differential is good enough.
You need to measure the temperature differential after the system has been
running for a while (not you just turn on), uninsulated duct could take more
than 30min for the system to stablize. Also did you measure in the room
closest to the AC for furtherest away from the AC.
Also it is harder for AC to main the temperature differential if y

Below is the words that I copied from the inspection report. The temperature
differential is between the intake and the output. The AC is brandnew and
had been running for a few days before the measurement was taken.
I am going to meet with the HVAC contractor tomorrow. Any suggestions about
what I should ask him? |
