car.
Air cooled engine runs hotter than your water cooled car engine for one
reason.
This is for 4 cycle engine, 2 cycle engine require you to mix special oil
with gas.
But if you don't care how long the mower engine last, your car oil should
work too.

Check oil level regularly.
Fill to mark on dipstick. DO NOT OVERFILL.
Air-cooled engines burn about an ounce of oil per cylinder, per hour.

5 hour oil change is for a new B & S powered lawn mower, after engine break
in. read the bottom part. 50 hour or at least once per year after the first
oil change.

Small air cooled engine is a lot different from you car engine, which I
suggest oil change every 5000 to 7500 or even longer if you use synthetic.

You can also get a oil burning furnace if you have a lot of used oil.
