发帖数: 4535 | 6 我觉得安装coil并不是很费时费力的事情，不像装地板，fence之类的labor要达到
parts同等的价格。比如装抽油烟机，500多的机器大概$200 labor fee. 这个coil应该
跟这个类似，如果不需要动其他地方比如duct的话。
一家之言，未必准确，但是你多问几家，砍砍价总不会吃亏。

发帖数: 4125 | 12 Just make sure the contractor use the right coil to match the outside unit.
Starting in 2006, only 13 SEER and above unit can be made, if your unit was
put in by builder 6 to 7 years ago, it is most likely a 10 SEER unit.
It has been very difficult to find 10 SEER parts now, so some contractor
will just slap in a 13 SEER coil, your ac will work but not very well.

than 6 to 7 years, is it copper? what brand is the unit?
R22 is also being phased out, you might want to consider a R-410A unit, cost
a little more now, but more serviceable in the future.

, the actual coil leaking is bad and should be replaced (as it is very hard
to repair the coil itself)
I think copper tubing will always be used (even with new coil) and there is
nothing wrong with it.

发帖数: 4125 | 20 What? don't even take me 3 hours to clean the evaporator coil. That is
vacuum/recover all the Freon first, remove the coil, take it outside, hose
it wet, spray coil cleaner, wait, rinse for a long time, put it back,
connect/solder the pipes back, put the freon back.
Unless the new coil does not fit and he need to do some duct work to fit.

put in the new one, cleaning require more time (extra steps in the middle)
