i asked quotes(parts and labor) from 2 vendors for 1500 sqft carpet
replacement
empires carpet $3/sqft
a chinese contractor $2/sqft. this one sent 4 amigo and finished the job in
3 hours. very nice work

另外，lowe's跟home depot相比，哪家更好些？
home depot是65美分 per sqft for old carpet removal and haul away,
lowe's是38美分 per sqft for old carpet removal and haul away,
但是好像lowe's的地毯价格好像高些，不过因为两家不是完全一样的地毯厂商，所以也
不好说。
对了，LOWE'S地毯可以没有pad，home depot好像没有看见这个option呀。不过家里边
的地毯应该都是有pad吧的。 |

installation).
if you ask for new installation. old carpet removal is supposed to be free.
I didn't check HD and lowe's at all. I guess they will just hire the
contractors and add some fee to the process.

sqft.
the new installation is $97 for the whole house.
So the final cost includes:
old carpet removal/haul away (charged per sqft) + new installation $97 +
new carpet (charged per sqft)
Do you know Any carpet store can do the old carpet removal/haul away for
free?
