Housing starts tumble
Decline of 17.6% is biggest in more than 14 years; permits down 4%.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Housing starts plunged 17.6 percent in March, marking
their steepest drop in more than 14 years, as groundbreaking for both
single-family and multi-family homes tumbled, a Commerce Department report
showed Tuesday.
