My comment:
(a) I cannot find "doorstopper" in a dictionary. However, several
dictionaryies has "doorstop," including www/m-w.com (all defintions in this
posting are from that website).
doorstop (n): "a device (as a wedge or weight) for holding a door open"
(b) completist (n): "one who wants to make something (as a collection)
complete"
(c) The report states, "(Twain ordered that the book be published a century
after his death.)."
Mark Twain is pen name of Samuel Langhorne Clemens (November 30, 1835 –
April 21, 1910).
(d) Why doesn't the report discuss the eBook edition, which is also
available. I can only assume that a physical one is hot only because purists
insist on a real thing. |
