Aunt Wu（1）
Aunt Wu wept after she hang up the phone. Again she had a quarrel with her
daughter in the long-distance telephone call. Where is my final home? She
thought saddly. It's so hot the day, the wind from the electric fan couldn't
make her cooler at all. The fragrance of Minnesota Snowflake filled the
dark, lonely.

吴婶放下电话，轻轻哭了起来。又一次和她的女儿在长途电话里争吵了。哪儿是我的归
宿呢？她悲哀地想。天很热，电风扇一点也起不了作用。Minnesota Snowflake的花香
孤寂地弥散在夜幕里。
她强打精神走下楼，从一个很老的大冰柜里取了些猪肝。这些猪肝是几个月前她从教堂
领来的免费食品。她一直舍不得自己享用。吴婶现在想起了它，是因为接到一个年轻女
孩Emily的电话，说第二天要拜访她。Emily曾经和她共同生活过一段时间。吴婶对她的
来临满心欢喜，想用自己最喜欢的猪肝汤来款待她。
“如果我先生还活着，我会给他做更多的猪肝汤的。”吴婶心想。她是多么悔恨她曾经
的任性啊。那时候既使她先生买好了猪肝放在冰箱里，她也拒绝做它，只因为她自己不
喜欢猪肝。但是在他去世后这些年，她发现自己越来越喜爱猪肝汤了。
屋子里乱糟糟的，纸片到处都是，一个捡来的桌子横在昏暗的客厅中央。“他刚去世的
时候，这屋子乱得根本无法立足。” 吴婶深深吸了一口气：“那是段多么艰难的日子
啊。” 她是那么地依赖她先生，以致在她先生去世后，她不得不自己开支票的时候，
她开始竟然不知道该怎么做！现在她已经习惯了随身 |

the English version a little. It looks when I think with English, it could
not so vivid as in Chinese.
