At Japan, 芥川龙之介 is the greatest modern writer,
and he is not agaist his society, some despair about
human nature, though.
So does 川端康成,三岛由纪夫,大江健三郎,and 村上春树。
Amrican writer like Fitzgerald is not against the society too
Similarity, he is quite despair about the human nature.
Many other similar examples: Zweig, Kafka, Conrad, 博尔赫斯,
and many more.
If a writer is writing to achieve some political goal,
I serious doubt how far he can go as a writer. |
