某日小儿于后院土坡玩耍，翻石陡见一蟋蟀龟卧不动，急唤吾来捉之。
吾童心未眠，虽已过乱怀之年，尤见蟀哥不免心动，儿时斗蟀之景顿生。
吾细赏罐中之洋蟀，较之中土虽无色异，然其身形高大前凸后翘，甚是伟岸英武，实乃
旧时御用之极品也。大喜之余悲叹道，彼国虫亦如此，吾民情何以堪？！
是夜，吾童心大发，与儿掌灯执网潜入院中，闻声而动，手到擒来，得大虫蟹壳青一只。
吾疾速回房，将虫置于一罐，特请领导前来观摩。孰料，两虫相遇竟须弥相抚，惺惺相
惜，毫无争斗之意。
见儿失望之情不予言表，吾不禁叹曰，呜呼，虫亦不可貌相，海水不可斗量，吾土虫虽
貌猥却善斗，洋虫虽酷毙却不堪用，虫亦如此，何异人哉？如此说来，吾之崇洋媚外之
症已及至骨髓矣！
遂大彻。乃训儿道，汝等日后万莫染黄蟀之猥琐，更莫学白蟀之无能，定要取长补短兼
而有之方才能成真虫也！
