工作从agent做起 然后读JD之类的。。。想问下 有没有必要转学去top10的学校去读
phd呢 这样是不是更容易我以后毕业以后去找法律方面的工作呢？ |

future and will give you more opportunity (like consulting). If you think
you can get into those program why not give it a shot?
But you are also burning the bridges already, you'd better come up something
solid to convince CMU why you want to leave.
As for Law school application for a Ph.D. 85% depends how well you did in
LSAT.
Gosh nowadays kids are so calculated, first year student is thinking about
things won't happen until 5 years later. World is changing fast!

my future career in law, Do I need to join some student's association or
choose some law-related courses in my PhD study?

students failed to work in law after their graduation. I think there should
be some key factors to distinguish you from other competitors.BTW, R u
studying in law school now or already work in law firm? Can you introduce a
little bit about ur background?

1. I would get a master degree in computer science in addition to your PhD
in computational biology. It's likely that your PhD will be categorized more
towards bio/chem instead of math/computer science/engineering. You would be
much better positioned in terms of backgrounds if you have "M.S. in
Computer Science, Ph.D in Computational Biology, J.D. from T-14." This comes
from personal experience/regret, I would definitely do this if I knew
better 5 years ago (although my PhD is from a wet lab.)
2. The name recognition/brand of CMU is sufficient.
3. Must get into T-14. |

Not every Ph.D wants to get into law firm,and not every Ph.D. Who gets into
law firm can stay in the law firm. As a graduate student and a person who is
interested in law work, you should have strong research ability. Most of
your questions have been asked and have been answered here before, s simple
search on this board should solve most of your problems.
