You pay 40,000 a year, and by the 2nd or 3rd year, people stopped going to
classes. Exactly what are you paying 40K a year for? You are paying 40K a
year for an opportunity to be hired by a law firm.
To put it another way, it's almost as if the law firms and the law schools
came together and decided that top school will charge 40K a year, law firms
will only hire from those top schools, and they'll split the money. Is this
not a racket?
And why is it that law firms refuse to hire people outside of law school,
what skills are so necessary and valuable that are only taught in law school?
If Intel hires an engineering to design their chips, and they demand that
the engineering must possess a PhD from MIT or CalTech etc, it's at least
understandable, cause you simply won't be able to do your job without those
qualifications, period. Can you say the same about law school? I know people
who are 1st or 2nd year associates in big law firms in NYC, what do they do
? Making photocopies and doing internet research.
Furthermore, why is it that if you do not get a summer intern in your 2nd
year, you probably won't get a job in a law firm when you graduate? And if
you don't get a job immediately after you graduate, you probably won't get
it ever. And if you get laid off in your 2nd and 3rd year as an associate,
you probably are forever kicked out of the law profession.
Tell me, the exclusivity, the “等级森严”, why? Is it not a racket?
On Wall Street, no one cares what your background is, no one cares what
schools you came from, no one cares if you 've been laid off. If you are
competent, if you are hungry, and if you want to drive a Maserati and a
Bentley, you are welcome.

Do you intend to argue? and by arguing, to clarify the question you raised?
If you do, we can start.
If you just want to look down people from your hypothetical trading floor or
maybe, pick a fight and maybe end the fight with something like "i make
more money than you", then.
