我本科读的是自动化，3.74
工作了两年是做 financial analyst
然后跑过来读了个Master of Science in Finance. 因为语言不适应，开始GPA
只有3.33， 然后一路跑到 3.59 非常郁闷的是一年的项目就这么结束了。
现在在一家软件外包公司做 senior consultant 应该2-3年变成项目经理。
我还算挺努力的自认为，本科的时候就已经是MCSE了。 现在正同时考CPA,CFA,FRM
CFA已经2级了，2年内肯定就能拿下这些认证。LSAT 我也会很努力的准备。
我非常向往T14 的法律学校， 但看看排名指标，GPA 平均都是3.70 更加麻烦的是压根
都没有看见除LSAT,GPA 外别的排名指标。 我金融硕士读的时候也挺辛苦的，学校排在专业前10名。但现在已经开始后悔念高排名的学校了。
我不知道法律这行标准是什么，我念商学院的时候是看整个PACKAGE. 个人工作经验是
非常重要的一个方面。
我非常需要正在读JD 项目的前辈告诉我情况是不是真的非常非常糟糕。LSAT 还没有考
就已经输了。 |

发帖数: 1757 | 4 score 180 on LSAT? seriously, for chinese students applicants, law schools
put more weight on which college you graduated from than your undergraduate
GPA. Also most of Chinese schools do not use 4.0 GPA scale at all, so there
is no meaningful way to convert your 100-point socre to a 4.0 GPA. Just do
your best on LSAT.

problem going to a good law school (rank 40 - 80).

applications as you can afford and see what turns up -- you don't have to
make any decision now.
but, i think you have a bigger problem -- you can't stay focused and tend to
believe that the pasture is always greener on the other side.
here is why:
if you already got a master in finance, and got MCSE, CFA, CPA, etc, and

You obviously have a skewed expectation about a career in law, and I'm
afraid you'll be disappointed again. No career is easy money. Each has its
own hardships. With your credentials, finance should be a better shot. Law
is too long.
For what it's worth, law schools don't look at graduate GPA. Just
undergraduate GPA and LSAT. When you're from a foreign school, LSAT is even
more important. Do well on LSAT and you can go to any school. |

hard and sometime impossible to find a decent typical finance job at this
time.
Being a lawyer is my dream even as a child. But my parents push me into
Science."学好数理化，走到天下都不怕" Then comes the automation. Then there
are more thinking limitations back then. Even in my most wildest dream, I
did not think about from Automation to JD. Then comes a "natural choice", MS
.Finance.
Right now I do not care that much about what I a

发帖数: 142 | 16 很多人开始的时候都觉得当律师是小时候的梦想，入了行以后才发现其实是个恶梦。
法律这行就是个赚钱的工具，利益是本质，其他什么社会平等正义等等都是高阶效应。
如果你想赚钱的话，你得根据自己的客观条件来设计你的商业计划，把风险投入最小化
，回报最大化。根据你现在的情况，干法律不是最优的计划，因为投入高，风险大而且
不确定。
如果你想追求梦想的话，你得问问自己为什么觉得法律是你的梦想。是glamour，还是
你喜欢为别人打抱不平，还是觉得穿着西装在法庭里面慷慨陈词很cool。不管吸引你的
原因是什么，实现这些梦想都不需要花三年时间和100k。
把追求梦想和赚钱混在一起，是一件很危险的事。don't mix business with pleasure.

发帖数: 156 | 18 我挺喜欢glamour的。我觉得现代社会里律师还是很受人尊敬的
记得有1次我们学校组织Investment Banking alumni meeting 在芝加哥，有个JD 的兄
弟也报名参加了。结果会上和电子邮件都大书特书这件事。
还有次上 private equity 课，课上有两个JD 的家伙，马上就成为明星。从老师的语
气和态度上明显能感觉对JD 的尊敬。这些都不是MBA 可以比的。
未来的事情谁说的准呢？也许我们只活在现在 |
