bones with these "non-law LLBs."
Case in point. A guy I know had a non-law LLB from China. He completed the
LLM program and did well. He interviewed with the Chinese office of a large
US firm. Everything went well. Just before they gave him the offer, however,
a partner in the Chinese office brought up his non-law degree and expressed
concerns that he didn't have adequate training in Chinese law. He ended up
