d) reference letters (who should I ask for reference from? assume I will be
working with a law firm at my application)

those probably the only thing you have control is lsat anyway.
gpa - nobody understand chinese gpa. and they don't care.
experience? > 50% of jd admitted don't have work experience. if you have
some, good for you, but it's marginal.
recommendation? formality only. i doubt anybody would look at them. some
school don't even require them.
nail lsat, and you'll go anywhere you want. no matter what school you
attended before |

Different schools look for different things. Most schools don't admit many
international students. The ABA data is not very useful for us.
1. You should submit your application as early as possible.
2. A High LSAT is very useful.
3. GPA matters for good schools. Many top schools don't like people with
high LSAT(>170)+Low GPA(<3.5).
4. A US degree is important because many schools prefer international students with US degrees.

know any. |
