the 45% is only the marginal rate for the portion of your income in excess of
RMB100K/month. So your overall effective tax rate should be lower than 45%.

not, the overal tax burden will be higher than that in the US.
When you say "I don't think there is a way to get around the tax issue," is
it because you know the Chinese associates are paying rates like that, or
because you have read the text you posted?
