I remember a while ago, someone got a Ph.D. in criminal justice and went
back to get a Prof. position in China.
I guess this is a special area?

come to think about it, criminal law is not a bad field for Chinese students. I know Chinese government tries to modify its criminal law statute according to American Model Penal Code. They need someone specialized in this field. Besides, unlike many other practice fields where common law takes a huge chunk, criminal law is mainly about statutes and not that much on case laws.
