thinking that maybe I should share my job hunting experience with all of you,
and hopefully this is useful information.
First, about my self. Arts major. Have gotten a master's degree in arts in the
U.S. before coming to law school. Know another foreign language besides
English. Now in a top 25 law school. First year grade below top 10% but well
above top 25%.

Thanks for sharing your experience with us. This kind of information does not
generally show up on the internet very often because we are such a small group
of people compared with the number of Chinese in other majors. It is good to
know that our Chinese JDs are doing well in job hunting. I am not sure this is
related, but there was an article in the US News about globlization of
American law schools. Schools are looking to introduce more international JDs
and bilingual students, perhaps becau

gloriayu, since your degree is M.A., I guess you are not aiming at IP? What's
your direction? Besides scores, does your background as M.A.(may I ask what
major?) help you to get offers? I have a M.A., but it has nothing to do with
business, finance, or language. I haven't gone to law school yet, but
considering which direction I should go.

发帖数: 4 | 4 Hi Classical, my M.A. is in foreign language, it kinda of helped in the sense
that the firms might think that I can use the foreign language some how in the
future, but there is no immediate need neither. I cannot be IP lawyer since I
don't have a science background. Again, my point is that these things are only
pluses while the grades is the key. Hope this helps.
