让我明年再申请，说“due to a successful fall recruiting","summer program is
full in most of our offices", and "we only hire a few first-year law students
across the firm."---还是hire了1L的。估计生物的PHD/JD还是太多了。咱Law School的
名气又比不过人家。
象otheme这样的EE PhD/JD应该还是非常competitive的。美国人还是很佩服engineer的，
更何况是PHD。生物的PHD，我觉得他们最多当作Engineering MS的equivalent,弄不好还
当BE的equivalent,不公平啊:( 还是太多了。
十二月一号以前还非常welcome我十二月一号以后申请。。。不过response还算prompt
and polite，给人感觉他们还是很注重recruiting的。这是非常聪明的做法。
看来希望主要得寄托在local | o****e

when i was looking for work, i got hundreds of rejections. rejections are
good -- they toughen you up and make you more motivated.
don't give up the clerkship, it will be a star bullet on your resume. an
academic sister of mine (chem phd) had to work for free for a fed judge during
1L, and the judge gave her some hot recommendations, and she got offers during
her first round of 2L interview, on the site. now she is laughing at all the

发帖数: 240 | 3 Thanks. I think those firms have similar standard and schedule. So it is
likely most of the out-of-town firms I applied would send me apply-next-year
letters sooner or later. The chance with local firms should be somewhat
better.
I had a phone screen with MoFo a few days ago. It is also an out-of-town
office. The lady was nice but I have no idea how they think of me. I have so
little experience for interview. I am also going to apply for a couple of
fellowships-with-SummerAssociateOffer, also hi
