feet off an I-85 bridge in Buckhead early Thursday, according to Channel 2
Action News.
The driver survived the jump and ran into a wooded area, and now police
really are looking for him.The bizarre string of events started just after 1
a.m. when Atlanta police officers were trying to pull over someone else for
speeding on I-85 at Lindbergh Drive, Channel 2 reported.
The driver mistakenly thought police were trying to stop him. After crashing
his car, he got out and took off running, police said.“And then jumped off
the I-85 bridge, approximately 40-foot drop down below,” Capt. William
Ricker told Channel 2. Police have not released a description of the man.
Officers found a gun under the bridge and drugs in his car.We’re working to
