Mumbai: Work on the Mumbai-Ahmedabadhigh-speed rail corridor project will
start by late 2017 or early 2018 and willbe completed in five years. This is
what railway board chairman A K Mittal saidat the Make In India Week on
Sunday evening.
The Mumbai-Ahmedabad high speed corridorproject is one of the ambitious
projects promised by Prime Minister NarendraModi’s governmentand is on the
priority list.
Addressing a press conference after thefirst joint meeting, Mittal said that
Japan International Cooperation Agencywill fund 81% of the project cost of
Rs 98,000 crore as a soft loan with a50-year term, a moratorium of 15 years
with an interest rate of 0.1%.
孟买至艾哈迈达巴德高铁走廊项目拟从2017年底或2018年初开工，计划5年内完工。铁
路局主席Mittal 是在“印度制造”周上说这番话的。
孟买至艾哈迈达巴德高铁走廊项目是莫迪总理承诺的雄心勃勃项目之一，而且处于优先
之列。
Mittal在新闻发布会上说，日本国际合作机构会为这项耗资9800亿卢比的项目提供81%
的融资，为50年期的低息贷款。

to 200kmph and eradicating most levelcrosses with over bridges…. This
could most cost effective and also more practical as it canimplemented in
shorter span with longer coverage..
