2012.12.12， 美国第七巡回法院郑重宣判，伊利诺伊州对公民携带CCW的禁令无效，严
重违反美国宪法第二修正案：美国公民有持枪保护自己的自由。这一判决，标志着全美
国最后一个顽固的堡垒，奥巴马的发祥地，伊利诺伊州，终于摆脱了liberal们的魔爪。
伊利诺伊州，这个号称美国历史上最伟大总统林肯的州，曾经是自由民主的典范。拥有
芝加哥，背靠五大湖，经济繁荣。然而自从上个世纪90年代以来，伊利诺伊州变得越来
越liberal,也越来越腐败。短短十几年，伊利诺伊已经有好几个州长因为贪腐锒铛入狱
。谁当了伊利诺伊州的州长，谁就可能成为晚间节目的笑柄。前民主党州长，现在的阶
下囚Rod Blagojevich竟然将奥巴马的参议员空缺都明码标价，转手倒卖，可见此州腐
败到何等地步。
而芝加哥呢，这个昔日的美国明珠，早已被民主党们折腾得面目全非，失去了原来的模
样。成为谋杀者的天堂，工会的乐土，黑帮的集聚地。截至10月29日，芝加哥已经有
436人被杀死，平均每天接近2人。上至七八十岁的老人，下至几岁的小孩，都无法幸免
。要知道，这可是一个禁止携枪的州呀!
奥巴马及其支持者可能永远也不明白，为什么禁止人民有枪，人民越不安全？为什么拿
走他们的武器，他们越发容易被武器击中？他们可能忘记了，任何人要获得CCW，必须
经过严格的背景调查和审核。那些最终拿到CCW的，都是奉公守法，有责任感的公民。
他们拥枪，是他们行使宪法赋予的权利，不到没有退路，任何守法的公民都不会轻易扣
动扳机。
而那些黑帮，混混们，他们可不在乎什么CCW，因为他们知道自己永远也拿不到。就算
禁枪，他们还是有办法拿到武器。他们可以为一顿晚餐结果一个外卖郎的性命，可以为
20块钱把你打几个窟窿，也可以为满足生殖器官的欲望用枪胁迫你的女友。
在这个法制的社会里，如果人人守法，那的确没有需要枪的必要。否则，你防得了君子
，却永远防不了小人。Liberal们可能永远也不明白这个道理。他们眼中的世界，都是
美好的。他们眼中的人，不管黑白，都是善良的。在他们梦中的理想社会，也许最后看
到的，是飞向他们的那颗乌黑的子弹。
今日的判决，让伊利诺伊的liberal们如丧考妣。但我却要拍手称快，这是自由的胜利

The only reason that I think a gun is useful is for hunting. There is just
so very opportunities to do hunting nowadays. |

your right for NOT having guns. Do you respect others' right for owning guns?
That is my only question.
Too many libertards want to ban guns. Other than 2nd amendment, it is the
right of civilian. Even in China, Mafias will have their ways to get guns.
According to statistics, areas with more CCW licenses have a much lower rate
of criminals. Because the "cost" of robbery or other illegal acts are high,
they could lost their lives from that.
About your questions, which is also libertards kept mentioned, there are
several solutions.
- Why own a gun? 2 reasons, home/self-defense and interest. 1st reason are
the major concern which nobody wish they would need a gun for that. But it
never hurts for getting prepared, isn't it?
- Where to put your guns? For self-defense, i.e. CCW, you need to carry it
with you. There are several choices for concealed carry holsters. For home
defense, you need to put it somewhere easy to access, yet out of reach from
others. A gun safe will be ideal for this situation.
- What if you have kids, how do you keep guns away from them? This is a very
good question. Never think there is some place in your home that kids could
not reach, this is a common sense among my gun owner friends. Lock your
long guns away in a stationary gun case, and lock your pistol in a separate
small gun safe near you for easy access. I will buy some nice gun safe if I
have kids or if owning my house. Owning guns have a great amount of
responsibility. "Lock-away" is part of the solution. Education is more
important. I will teach them firearm safety as early as possible. Maybe
buying them a 22LR rifle at adequate age.

Skokie这个地名芝加哥版上的人都应该知道吧，三十年前，Skokie/Morton Grove地区是
最早通过禁枪法案的伊利诺伊城镇，禁止镇上除警察以外的普通居民拥枪；作为对此的
回应，佐治亚州的小镇Kennesaw也通过了一项非同寻常的法案，要求普通居民除特殊情
况外必须拥枪。对比一下三十年后，两个地区的变化，会很有意思，这里有一篇2007年

在强制拥枪法案通过前的1981年，Kennesaw的犯罪率是4,332 per 100,000人，不是一个

相比之下，Morton Grove这个安全富裕的芝加哥北郊小镇，其犯罪率在他们的禁枪法案
通过后的第二年就飙涨了15.7%，同年Cook县的犯罪率只上升了3%。到2005年，Morton
Grove的犯罪率是 2,268 per 100,000，比Kennesaw还稍高。

Wisconsin recently passed the concealed carry law but all school campuses
prohibit carrying weapon on school including knives and so are all the
government facilities. I can't imagine a private company will allow weapons

What this tells you is that the politicians would rather let people killing
each other on the streets but won't let the same happen in their own
backyard.
It is fine that you can put guns in your own home to protect your family
against intruders. If you go out, there is very few places you can take
weapons too. So most likely you will leave your weapons in your car. That is
almost useless. Once you entered your car, you can get away from almost all
situations.
Now the only chance you may have to use your gun is walking around aimlessly
. But why would do you do that?

People in shooting range don't have argument against each other and it is
very limited environment. I am surprised you didn't use an army base as an
example.
The video below actually proves my point. In Texas, everybody carries gun
and yet the criminals came in, robbed, and shoot. Did it prevent them from
attempting the robbery?
Also, what is the odds that you will win the battle against criminal? Do you
want to take the chance and try to win a gun battle? If losing a few
dollars is all that you need to sacrifice, I think you probably should just
let them take the money.
Finally, the convenient store clerks have gun in their store. It is
completely legal and reasonable. Just like banks have armed guards, I
completely agree that these stores should be equipped with guns. I also
think it is perfectly logical to have guns in your own home if you decide
that this is the right thing to do.

test to apply for CCW license. All CCW owner will have their 10 finger print
recorded, also a FBI level background check. I don't blame you for lack of
knowledge on CCW, it's always been good if you could take a CCW course and
see what they teach their. Don't believe in those libertards' education, if
you attend a CCW course, you will know why I say so.
And yes, I do think something like the Aurora cinema shooting would be
better if any of them could have a CCW weapon and shot down that "mathar-
fakar" other than waiting for people to breach the lock from outside.
Actually, AR jamming saved several lives in at lease 2 cases. And you will
see what kind people they are. A well range-educated people can fix jamming
easily.

knife with me, just in case.

college. I believe I was a pretty good shooter and know how rifle works.
OK, I don't know what exactly CCW entails, or what kind of training CCW
requires.
But that is besides the point. The point is that you are not safer by
carrying a gun around with us all day.
Some poster said earlier that a gun is like a life insurance. I disagree. A
life insurance is passive. It kicks in once I die. I don't need to do
anything other than pay the premium. To use a gun to guard your life, you
need to use it to properly defend yourself. But is it the best choice? I
really doubt so. We can choose to avoid danger whenever we can. If you are
faced danger, we can choose to retreat. If you can't retreat, we can
surrender. If surrender is no option, then you would wish you have a gun
with you. The odds that you are in the last situation is really slim. I
think it is as small as winning a lottery. You are more likely to get a
serious traffic accident than facing a danger that you have to shoot. What
is the odds that you are siting in a movie theater when someone opens fire?

Concealed carry of weapon is not a matter of privacy. You can carry weapon
in your own home for all that you want. You can carry in concealment or
openly in your own home or store or company, no one cares.
However, if you carry weapon in public, you put others in danger. You
violate the freedom of others who want to stay in a public space without
fearing of weapon being accidentally discharged. It is no longer a privacy
issue or freedom of choice to one's own body.
I failed to see the relation between CCW and pro-choice.

and reassemble (a.k.a. field strip) is basic. And pistol is way different
than type 56 you might shot before.
Nobody ever said its likely to use your CCW on a regular. What we kept
saying is we hope the best not using it. I know your theory of the useless
of carrying a gun in 99.9% times in your life. Some people will dig their
head into the sand and choosing to ignore the event of small probability
which might cost their lives or those of the one they loved, others don't.
