- Monitor production systems, respond to alerts, identify, classify, triage
, and drive P0/P1 Risk platform live issues to closure
- Quickly understand and deep dive code issues
- Develop automation tools to improve processes
- Work with internal and external teams to resolve issues
- Develop and enhance monitoring tools
- 50-50 development/operations work but must be flexible
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve developer productivity
and improve quality
- Pilot new initiatives to keep our technology stack ahead of the curve
- Work with DTL (Domain Technical lead) to understand requirements and
execute against a platform roadmap
Job Requirements:
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure while driving live issues to completion,
even if outside regular office hours
- Ability to design, develop, and deploy distributed systems and components
- 4+ years software development experience
- BS in Computer Science or related degree required. MS preferred
- Expert in Java programming
- Expert in Spring, RESTful API, Services
- Experience on Big Data Technologies such as Kafka, Apache Spark, Hive,
HBase
- Competent in design/implementation for reliability, availability,
scalability and performance
- Competent in software engineering tools and best practices
- Experience having operational ownership of production services, including
working with devops and/or SRE teams
- Experience in Agile methodologies
- Experience in Risk or Risk Infrastructure is desirable
- C++ and Python experience is desirable
