Job Description
The hiring company is looking for a web designer to join its growing
communications team. We’re looking for someone who has both the technical
chops as well as creative muscle to help us continue evolving the company
brand online. While the primary focus for this role will be the end-to-end
management of our website properties and related communications, this person
will also have the opportunity to work closely with the group’s chairman,
helping him to advance his ideas for new product.
Job Responsibilities
The company’s Web Designer will be primarily responsible for creating new
and maintaining existing websites. A hands-on, technically-skilled
implementer, he or she will also be well-versed in managing external website
vendors. In this role, the website designer will help to ensure a cohesive
narrative and voice for both websites. They will also optimize both sites
for security, search performance and social media integration. This person
will also work closely with group’s Chairman, helping him develop visual
designs and prototypes for new product concepts. His/her duties include, but
aren't limited to, the following:
• Writing and editing new content as needed
• Posting regular updates to both website press rooms
• Product concept visualization / mock-ups
• Designing webpage layout
• Design of related HTML email and newsletter templates
• Ensuring security and availability of the website
• Photo editing
• Creating back up files
• Troubleshooting code problems
• Overseeing integration with CRM platform
Job Requirements
• Bachelor Degree in Graphic Design, multimedia or web design
• 3-5 years' experience specifically working in web design
• Demonstrable creative and a dynamic range
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Solid Web design and development skills (HTML, CSS)
• A good command of Photoshop, Illustrator，Dreamweaver etc.
• Strong graphic design, layout, typography, image manipulation,
and color correction skills.
• Experience working with content management systems
• Basic product design skills/experience
• Video editing skills a plus
• Databases
• Multimedia design a plus
