Mrs Tang and all other teachers are very nice to kids. I sent my 14 month-
old there, he only cried for a few days. They also teach a lot like Math,
Chinese, English, Music,... everyday there are fun activities. Mrs Tang
cooked great food ! Although my kid is small, i can tell he likes there a
lot

My daughter has been attending the Education Hill Learning Center since 2014
. She is our first child, obviously, we spent a lot of time researching on
daycares and we are glad that we picked the right school. The school has
about 10 – 12 children and Ms. Tang, school director, is always full of
energy and really care for every child. My daughter, initially a shy kid,
has really opened up a lot since then. The school is bilingual, where Ms.
Tang is a native Chinese while other teachers are native English speakers.
By now (age 3.5), my daughter speaks both Mandarin and Chinese and can count
and do some simple additions. My daughter really likes singing and dancing,
and the school offers plenty opportunities for her to express herself. The
school also offers craft projects and often take children for small walks
around the community. My daughter really enjoys those activities, of course,
with many friends she made during the school. Also, being busy parents, we
really don’t have time to cook nice food and we don’t really trust vendors
’ food either. Ms. Tang is a great cooker herself and she provides organic,
healthy and good-tasting food. And my daughter ranks her food higher than
me and my wife ;-(.

When looking for a daycare, I think one needs to first figure out what they'
re looking for in a facility, because this won't be a one-size-fits-all
scenario. For us, we've found EHLC to be the best place that meet our needs
and expectations.
First of all, I want my little one to have a happy and low-stress childhood.
Of all the places we've tried and stayed at, our child took the least time
to adjust to EHLC initially. And it's also at EHLC that oftentimes my
little one doesn't want to go home at pickup time because she's having such
a fun time either playing and learning. I've read about how kids look
forward to going to their daycare every day, but I've never seen that with
my child at the other places she's stayed at before. With EHLC, she's
indeed eager to go there every morning. So I know she's happy at EHLC.
Secondly, I want my little one to grow up healthily. In other words, eat
well and sleep well. EHLC provides the most delicious and diverse menus,
compared with all the other places I know in the area. While many places in
this area only serve chicken as "meat", EHLC's menus contain pork and beef
on a regular basis, which is similar to what we make home. This diverse
menu help our little one to develop a good eating habits, unlike at one
other place she grew resistant to beef and pork because it was never served
to the children there at the other daycare. In addition, Ms. Tang (who owns
and runs EHLC) would make special treats for the little ones from time to
time, such as the steamed Chinese-style buns that the kids simply love
though the buns take extra time and efforts to make. When I see my little
enjoy these home-made goodies at EHLC, I know Ms. Tang cares for the
children as if they were her own and I'm happy that my child is nurtured
well every day.
Thirdly, I want my little one to develop a keen interest in learning. I
care less about how many words or characters my little one has picked up,
though I'm constantly amazed by how much she's learned at EHLC, than growing
an eagerness to learn. At the other places my little one stayed at, while
they all had a great curriculum, she was never interested in reading or
learning, even though she had the capability and we kept reading stories to
her every evening. One of the first things I noticed after placing her at
EHLC was she started asking for more stories to read to her and became very
interested in learning new words and characters without us nudging her. I
don't know how Ms. Tang did it, but she did it.
Last but not least, Ms. Tang is always available to talk with the parents
about how their child is doing, at pickup time every day. Unlike a larger
facility we went to before where you had to make an appointment in order to
talk to the head teacher, at EHLC, you can talk to Ms. Tang every day if you
want to. And she clearly knows and understands every child very well,
including their personality, little gestures/expressions, etc.
If you're reading this and are looking for a daycare for your little ones, I
highly recommend you do a tour at EHLC and find out yourself if EHLC will
become the 2nd home to your child as it has become to mine. |
