Primary Responsibilities: • Translate business requirements into
technical designs and project plans • Be an ‘end-to-end owner’ of
software services spanning technology boundaries • Write production-
ready code and unit tests that meet both system and business requirements &#
8226; Support operation of services in production • Respond to feature
requests, bug reports, performance issues and ad-hoc questions • Work
with multiple teams to deliver quality software
Qualifications: • Be a creative problem-solver who can draw on an
array of expertise and technology to design and implement reliable, scalable
and maintainable solutions to challenging problems • Able to balance
high-quality development with pragmatism and rapid delivery of products &#
8226; Value unit tests, integration tests, and documentation •
Demonstrated strong communication skills and the ability to work
constructively on a team • Experience building and operating large-
scale, high-traffic enterprise server applications • 8+ years’
production coding experience in C/C++ • Expertise programming Perl and
Bash shell scripts (Python is a plus) • Expertise programming SQL
queries and stored procedures (MySQL is a plus) • Experience working
in Linux, OS X and Windows environments • Familiarity with the HTTP
protocol including headers • Familiarity with C/C++ networking
libraries • B.S. in CS/EE or equivalent required
Skills/Personal characteristics: • Extremely productive contributor
with a get-it-done attitude • Demonstrated attention to detail •
