1. Critical Thinking Software Engineers (All Levels)
We are not a Java shop. We are not a Ruby shop, We are not a PHP, Perl or
Python shop either. We deploy the technology that best addresses the needs
of our businesses. Casandra, Hadoop, noSQL, MongoDB and Oracle are also all
present in our stacks.
As such we are looking for true software engineers that are good thinkers
and above average problem solvers. We are looking for engineers that have a
real passion for technology, a curiosity about new/different programing
languages, a drive to consistently grow their skills, a desire to work with
like minded peer groups, and a desire to solve business challenges in local
and mobile.

Desired Skills & Experience
We are looking for a minimum of 3+ years experience in each of the following
areas (Sr's and Leads a bit more):
software development in Java, Ruby, Perl or PHP
development in big data or high traffic environment
working with SQL and Casandra, or Hadoop, or noSQL, or MongoDB or Oracle
working in open source environment
UNIX/LINUX
2. Sr Linux Administrator | Cloud Engineer
The team is responsible for an increasingly virtualized (xen and eucalyptus)
linux environment comprised of more than 200 physical servers, plus an
expanding presence in Amazon’s cloud. There is a heavy reliance on open-
source software.
What do you get to do?
Work in a fast-paced, highly technical SCRUM environment
Work with exciting open source and cloud technologies
Work closely with developers to find the best technical solution to each
problem
Be a team player and a hands-on individual contributor
Automate the provisioning of entire clusters using python or shell
Help solve new problems as we move our infrastructure into the cloud
What is your background?
5 – 7 years of Unix/Linux Administration
Highly skilled in a at least two typical scripting languages (shell/perl
/python/ruby)
Strong experience with configuration management tools (puppet, chef,
cfengine)
Product experience with Amazon EC2 and S3 (or Eucalyptus, Kaavo, GoGrid,
CohesiveFT, Enomaly, enStratus)
Web serving in HIGH traffic environment (apache httpd/tomcat)
Server load balancing (hardware/software)
Strong experience with Virtualization ( Xen, VMWare)
Experience with Hadoop a plus.
Ideal candidates have a wide range experiences, from hardware
maintenance to application debugging/tuning |
