Position Description
- Work on advanced development activities for power tools Asia Pacific:
scouting of new product ideas incl. cooperation with marketing,
conceptualization, proof of concept incl. prototypes,
transfer to product development teams
- Scope is innovation at earlier stage and beyond products and segments
currently
addressed in new product development projects
- Reports to VP Engineering Asia Pacific
Education
Master in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical), Physics, or
equivalent
Required Experience
- Min. 3-5 years relevant industry experience (e.g. power tools,
household appliances or other consumer goods, industrial technology &
automation, automotive suppliers)
- Successful innovation track record
- Broad knowledge based on solid technical background (mechanical &
electrical engineering, physics, product design, innovation methods)
- Fluent verbal and written English
Desired Experience
- Development experience with power tools or related products
- Experience in advanced development or applied research
- Experience in a function outside engineering (e.g. marketing,
manufacturing, quality)
General Skills
- Curiosity, interest in technical problems, inter-disciplinary skills
- Ability to think out of the box, to find practical and creative
solutions
- Strong communication & team work abilities
- Energetic and self-motivated personality, quick starter
