发帖数: 3 | 1 POSITION: The Department of Engineering in the College of Science,
Engineering and Technology seeks applications for a twelve-month, full-
time position as a Research Associate in Game and Simulation Software
Development at Norfolk State University.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful candidate will be responsible for the
design and development of the back-end software associated with a large-
scale computer simulation for medical training on Multiple / Unannounced
platforms. Write and maintain technical design and software system
documentation. Gain experience with e-Learning standards (SCORM, ADL
etc.). Supervise graduate students.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· PhD/M.S. in Computer Science or Engineering, or B.S. plus
significant years experience.
· Experience designing and developing object-oriented software
using C++ or Java.
· Good knowledge of game programming techniques and software
engineering practices.
· Experience with using or developing game engines and/or
platforms.
· Ability to take direction, self-motivated with a strong work
ethic and an ability to work well independently AND in a team
environment.
· Ability to work competently on the concept, design, and
implementation phases of a large scale computer simulation development
effort.
· Capability to work under pressure, on a schedule, within tight
deadlines, budgetary considerations, and pre-established design
requisites.
· Ability to write technical design documentation and to
communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
SALARY/RANK: $72,800 per year including benefits (Restricted one year
position - Grant Funded)
