CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES
Administrative Assistant
China Labor Watch is looking for an Administrative Assistant who will be
able to perform the following tasks:
-Coordinate and maintain communications with external stakeholders on behalf
of the Executive Director
-Perform verbal and written translation between English and Chinese
-Support and assist the CLW Researcher and Program Officer in their program
management and execution; this may include conducting interviews or desk
research to support program objectives
-Manage the organization’s internal administration; this may include
keeping track of financial expenses, updating grant files, and other tasks
related to internal operations and grant management
-Manage the CLW website and social media platforms
-Managing and providing guidance to CLW interns
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications, but we
encourage anyone who believes they would be a good fit for this position to

-A demonstrated interest in and commitment to human rights and/or labor
issues
-Administrative experience
-English to Chinese and Chinese to English translation experience
-Experience managing social media for an organization
-Fundraising experience
-Research and interview experience
-Familiarity with digital security and handling sensitive information
-One or more years of experience working at an American NGO
-Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field such as law, humanities,
sociology, political science, or other disciplines related to China Labor

LABOR RIGHTS RESEARCHER
CLW is seeking applicants for a Research who will be responsible for
researching and monitoring workers’ conditions in China, and documenting
labor violations through online research and analysis. The Research will
prepare special reports on the situation of China’s workers and on selected
workers’ issues. The successful candidate should also expect to engage in
some translation tasks as assigned.
Flexible work arrangements are negotiable. Remote work from home allowed
during Covid-19. This is a full-time position. Applicants must have
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Native-level fluency in Chinese and English.
Ability to identify, research, analyze, and effectively communicate
important labor rights developments in China.
Strong expertise in labor rights, economic justice or human rights.
Knowledge of and experience working in international human rights
organizations.
Commitment to China Labor Watch’s mission and goals.
An advanced degree in law, human rights, political science, sociology, or a
related field is preferred.
Experience with conducting interviews with workers
Ability to travel internationally

WEB DESIGN INTERN
Perform qualitative research to understand user needs
Evaluate design solutions for usability
Incorporate UI/UX best practices in CLW’s official website design and
layout
Requirements
Strong skills in various design programs such as Adobe Photoshop and
Illustrator
Background in designing wireframes and prototypes
Strong interest in labor rights issues
The Web design intern will be expected to work 28hours (4days) per week for
a minimum of 3 months.CLW will offer a monthly stipend of $600 to qualified
interns with work permit.
All of the work will be conducted remotely. The position is available now
and applications are considered on a rolling basis. We can work with the
intern to obtain academic credit or outside funding.

PROGRAM INTERN
DUTIES
We are seeking a motivated individual that is interested in assisting CLW
with current programs as well as developing new programs. In a small NGO
like CLW, interns will have an ample opportunity to learn and actively
participate in various aspects of our work. The intern will assist CLW with
research and Chinese-English/English-Chinese translations, including for CLW
investigative reports and other materials. The intern will carry out other
tasks under the direction of the executive director and program coordinator,
including seeking out and applying for funding opportunities,
correspondence, research, and other tasks. The intern will be asked to
assist in administrative tasks when necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants should be well-organized, self-motivated and reliable, with a
strong interest in workers’ human rights. Oral and written fluency in
Chinese and proficiency in English is a must. Translation experience is
desirable. Interest in Chinese labor issues is also desirable.
TIME COMMITMENT & APPLICATION DEADLINES
28 hours (4 days) per week for 4 months. Applications are considered on a
