Altair is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to part of a fast moving team
that requires strong object-oriented design and analysis skills in C++.
Ideal candidates are innovative, flexible, self-directed and able to write
portable, high-performance, bullet-proof code. Knowledge of software
development cycles and tools are very important. You will be supporting
HyperView which is a complete post-processing and visualization environment
for finite element analysis, CFD and multi-body system data. It is the new
standard for speed and integration of CAE results post-processing. HyperView
is part of the HyperWorks platform.
Altair® HyperWorks® is the most comprehensive, open architecture
CAE simulation platform in the industry, offering the best technologies to
design and optimize high performance, weight efficient and innovative
products.
Responsibilities:
• Design, prototype, implement, unit test, profile and troubleshoot
features.
• Communicate complex problems via code and diagrams.
• Development is on Windows and Linux platforms.
Requirements:
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related.
• 4-5 years of experience in C++ development, including strong
expertise in data structures and algorithms.
• High energy with ability to be self-driven when direct
supervision is not available.
• Experience with Python, Tcl or other scripting language is
desirable.
• General understanding of multi-threaded programming concepts.
• Basic math skills including linear algebra.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Previous experience working on both Windows and Linux platforms. | u***n
