Summary
Verily Life Sciences (Google Life Sciences) is focused on shifting health
care from a reactive, undifferentiated approach to a proactive, targeted
approach by transforming the detection, prevention, management and even our
basic understanding of disease.
The testing/engineering technician will assist in preparing samples to
internal/external experiments, testing biomedical devices, doing basic data
collection and summary.
Minimum Qualifications
BS in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Science,
Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience
Ability to follow test protocols to perform multiple testings with minimum
supervision
Ability to work in a fast paced environment with shifting priorities and
deliver high quality work
Ability to communicate effectively to provide testing feedback to engineers
Highly organized
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge about basic electrochemistry or neuromodulation
Experience in a testing lab, especially working with medical devices before
Experience in handling small devices
Experience with microscopy
Experience in mechanical/electrical engineering
Responsibilities
Preparation and handling of test samples on glasses or flexible materials
Preparation of solutions such as phosphate buffer, artificial fluids, etc.
Inspect and test devices with provided protocols
Take microscopic images of devices for analysis use
Assist engineers with experiment setup and data collection
Provide support to engineers on data analysis upon request | b*******a
