What are the eligibility requirements for the 17-month extension of post-
completion OPT?
The student must have a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctorate degree included
in the STEM Designated Degree Program List.
The student must currently be in an approved post-completion OPT period
based on a designated STEM degree.

On March 11, 2016, the Department of Homeland Security published a final
rule allowing certain F-1 students who receive science, technology,
engineering, and mathematics (STEM) degrees, and who meet other specified
requirements, to apply for a 24-month extension of their post-completion OPT
. The 24-month extension will replace the 17-month STEM OPT extension
previously available to STEM students (see 73 FR 18944). Eligible students
may now apply for a 24-month STEM OPT extension.

2. 现在是在用Master专业的OPT吗？如果是，那么本科的好像就不能申了。OPT
Extension是你在用的那个OPT的延长。你现在已经搬家了，还想在以前住过的房子上盖
二层楼，这个是不行的………… |
