Responsibilities:
• For existing products, as Chairman of the Product Change Control
Board (CCB), implement changes related to DTC, quality, new options/features
and technical improvements in order to maintain the profitability and
market share of the product line.
• Participate in developing new products or enhancing existing
products or product lines by developing business plans and product
introduction plans on a global or regional basis
• Participates in the creation of pricing structures and price
positions for products within area of responsibility, including ROI impact
• Support product managers to: analyze market data, determine product
requirements, define product roadmap and create competitive intelligence.
• Implement the Product Lifecycle Maintenance Process for each product
. This includes
o Generating business case and marketing requirements specifications to
justify new product developments
o Supporting existing product developments as part of the development core
team
o Developing sales documentation such as catalogs and training materials
o Maintain the product once development is completed
o Developing Phase-out Plans for products that have reached the end of
their lifetime
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education and Experience:
• Bachelor degree in Engineering
• Basic technical knowledge of variable frequency drives
• Experience leading teams to complete assigned projects
• Computer skills required, including Microsoft Office
• Excellent oral and communication skills
• Ability to function in a team environment
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Travel: approximately 5%
Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education and Experience:
• Advanced degree in Engineering and/or M.B.A.
• 5+ years of experience with 1-3 years of Engineering, Project
Management or Product Management experience in variable frequency drives
• Experience with medium voltage products, particularly variable
frequency drives |
