s****s 发帖数: 11 | 1 So I may be getting offers from two companies in two places. one in SF
another in DC. I know the living cost in DC since I live here but have no
idea about SF.
I heard the general consensus is that you should ask 30% more in SF given
everything else being equal (job requirement, benefits...etc). Is this true?
I am mainly concerned about the housing cost and the transit, especially if
the company doesn't provide benefit for transit. I've done tax calculation
as well. California consistently takes more out of each paycheck than
Virginia...
So when it comes time for negotiation, how much more should I negotiate for
the SF job? 20%, 30%...10%?
Please advise. | f*********5 发帖数: 576 | 2 我的算法是

| s****s 发帖数: 11 | 3 Adding up those three criteria, I should ask for 40% more? | s****s 发帖数: 11 | | w**p 发帖数: 4080 | 5 40% is reasonable.
