Data Scientist with predictive analysis/SAS
SAS Location:
Dallas TX This is a Contract to hire position . Require Citizens /
Greencard / GC EAD Direct client requirement. Primary
Responsibilities Work closely with business units such as Business
Development, Sales Channel Development, Product Development, Carrier
Operations and Product Management teams to identify and answer important
business and product questions. Develop interface for end-user to carry
out “what-if” analyses by running statistical models on background and
generating results in a simple and structured format. Clearly conveys
information and ideas through a variety of media in a manner that engages
the audience and helps them understand and retain the message. Apply
rigorous analytical methods and analyze levers that can drive growth and
profitability across our product and service offerings and customer segments
worldwide. Research, evaluate, implement, and present statistical methods
to provide actionable insights. Use effective approaches for developing
appropriate solutions, and take action that is consistent with available
facts, constraints, and probable consequences. Identify potential
enhancements and/or process improvements for modeling and enhance current
analytic methodology. Proactively contribute ideas and propose and design
innovative statistical approaches to solve complex business problems.
Establishes ongoing procedures to collect and review information needed for
data science practice. Work with high dimensional and fast moving data to
build continually learning systems and through your work have direct impact
on revenue and bottom line. Desired Skills and Experience MS/PhD in
Statistics/Mathematics/Econometrics /Operations Research, or a related
quantitative discipline. 2 years of experience with statistical modeling,
data mining, machine learning tools and underlying algorithms. Minimum 5
years of relevant work experience building statistical models. Preferred
PhD in Mathematics or Statistics. Proficient knowledge of advanced
statistical analysis and data mining methodologies. Extensive experience
solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches. Strong
knowledge and experience using major statistical analysis tools such as R,
Matlab, or SAS. Experience with at least one scripting language (Perl,
Python, etc preferred. Proficient knowledge of statistical models such as
decision trees, time series analysis, cluster analysis, logistic regression,
non-parametric analysis and optimization. Ability to communicate complex
quantitative analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner with both
technical and non-technical customers. Consistently high levels of service
orientation and professionalism; Giving, receiving and responding to
feedback effectively. , |
